Cunnery Wood 13.05.2014
There is almost a red carpet of Redlead Roundhead (Leratiomyces ceres) growing on the woodchip in the theatre area in the wood. I've never seen as many growing together at once and if anyone is interested it is definitely worth a look.
Common Stinging Nettle (Urtica dioica).
Some of the leaves were infected by Nettle Rust (Puccinia urticata).
Some of the leaves were infected with Bluebell Rust (Uromyces muscari).

Hardcastle Crags 12.05.2014
Bog Beacons (Mitrula paludosa) seen today in the Crags. There aren't as many here as there are at Broadhead Clough, but they are still as lovely.

I didn't see or hear of anyone seeing Tricholoma gambosum this Spring. (St. George's mushroom.)
Maybe there is time yet.

Dixie Woods, Sowerby Bridge 01.05.2014
Peachysteve and myself went botanising yesterday and on the way back we found more Helvella acetabulum growing on the side of the path. That makes three different locations so far this year where they have been recorded.
Vinegar Cup (Helvella acetabulum) taken yesterday when it was cloudy.......
and today in the sunshine.
Peachysteve's photograph below.
