Brearley Wood 07-05-13

I had a quick walk in the wood with Basil, on my way back from Halifax. Everything is so dry at the moment that everything was crunching underfoot and I didn't managed to find any fresh specimens of fungi, however this site does look promising, come late summer/autumn.

Beech Woodwart (Hypoxylon fragiforme).

Dessicated Toothed Crust (Basidioradulum radula).

Cramp Balls or King Alfred's Cakes (Daldinia concentrica).
