Dodge Royd Wood 03-10-13 & 07-10-13

Michael and I met Steve for a foray in the woods on the  03-10-13, we spent a lot of the time talking and not much time photographing what we saw, so Steve and I revisited the wood again on the 07-10-13 to take some more pictures and also to hopefully find the group of white Amanitas we had seen on our previous visit but the slugs had eaten all of them, but we are hoping that they will reappear again another day.

North Dean Wood 28-09-13

Oliver, Steve and myself joined Julie Swift and Robin Dalton for the Council's Fungi Foray they had organised. It was well attended by adults and children who were all very interested in learning more about fungi. We did find many different species and everyone, especially the children did a brilliant job of finding them and Oliver was in his element and he was very excited to share his knowledge of mycology with everyone who came.
