Broadhead Clough 14-02-13

A  walk around Broadhead Clough during the winter months was certainly worth it, and I found a few species that I was not already familiar with, in particular the myxomycetes, Trichia affinis, which Nick Aplin from the Sussex Fungi Group, positively identified for me.

Trichia affinis, a myxomycetes, identified by Nick.

Blushing Bracket (Daedaleopsis confragosa).

Toothed Crust (Basidioradulum radula).

Witches' Butter (Exidia glandulosa).

Birch Woodwart (Hypoxylon multiforme).

Variable Oysterling (Crepidotus variabilis), above and below.

Exidia plana.

Beechmast Candlesnuff (Xylaria carpophila).

White Brain (Exidia thuretiana).

Birch Jelly (Exidia repanda), above and below, identified again by Nick.
